On Friday Oct. 27, guest presenter, Linda Brown, came to facilitate a workshop with youth to teach them hand and machine sewing skills.
We set up two areas, the classroom for our machine-sewing activities and the dining area for hand-sewing, fabric selection and cutting.

After the basic skills were taught during the first period, the remainder of the morning was spent with students designing, cutting, sewing and embellishing their pillows.
