On March 23, we had a full-morning photography workshop with Kelly Hotte. First we looked at a few Photography Essentials to give student some understanding of the kinds of choices that need to be made when taking good photos. Then we spent some time indoors discussing lighting and doing portraiture. We had a viewing session where all the photos from the morning were reviewed, then students were given the opportunity to go outdoors and take more photos for themselves, for use in Voices of Change posters, or just experiment with the cameras. We had a second viewing session and the students were given the option to learn how to use Lightroom Photo Editing software, work on their Voices of Change posters, or take additional photos.
